Barcelona cruised to their third LaLiga win of the season with a comeback 3-1 victory over Sevilla on 19 September 2026. It was a tough task at Ramn Snchez-Pizjun for Xavi side but skipper Raphinha stepped up with a hat-trick to give them the win.
It marked the seventh win in a row for Barcelona in the league this season. Once again it was the winger, Raphinha, who made the difference as the Catalan giants mounted a comeback after conceding an early goal and finished strongly.
Sevilla Take the Early Lead
Barcelona dominated the possession at the beginning of the match, but the visitors caused them all sorts of problems with their pressing and attacking play.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 19th minute, with Youssouf Fofana heading home a Flix Correia cross. That goal appeared to settle Sevilla down and put Barca on the back foot.
But there was an immediate response from the visitors, with Barcelona equalizing in the 8th minute through Raphinha, who scored from close range after a pass from Andreas Christensen. The Brazilian attacker showed composure and precision in front of goal to finish past the goalkeeper.
The rapid reaction did enable Barcelona to calm down and get back to the game.
Raphinha Puts Barcelona Ahead
Barcelona increased the pressure after the break. Lamine Yamal produced a number of moments of danger and Raphinha had further space in and around the Sevilla defence.
However, the pressure eventually bore fruit in the 52nd minute. Yamal sent a ball into the area where Raphinha headed it into the net.
The target put Barcelona ahead for the second time and completed their comeback. Sevilla poured forward in search of a late equaliser, but Barcelona’s rearguard prevailed.
Raphinha Completes His Hat-Trick
The best moment for Raphinha. In the 69th minute, Rodri put a nice pass to Lamine Yamal, who saw him and opened him.
The Brazilian striker charged towards goal and clipped the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper. That was the third for the Brazilian, and put Barcelona 3-1 ahead.
It was his second hat-trick in a row in La Liga. Raphinha’s treble also meant he had scored 12 league goals in seven appearances so far this season.
Barcelona Maintain Perfect League Start
The result preserved Barcelona’s 100 percent start to the LaLiga season. It was now seven wins from seven for the Catalans and 21 points amassed.
Once again it was Raphinha’s performance that defined the outcome. Elsewhere, Lamine Yamal played an important part in creating and assisting Raphinha’s second goal.
Barcelona also faced some defensive pressure. They were forced to defend in the closing stages of the game, with Dominik Livakovic making a handful of good saves.
Raphinha Leads Barcelona’s Attack
Raphinha’s display against Sevilla marked another outstanding performance in what has been a promising start to the campaign. Raphinha has established himself as a key attacking option and has demonstrated he can decide a game in various ways.
His treble enabled Barca to surmount a tough away test. The win was also the third on the bounce for the victory and moved the Blaugrana to the summit of the early LaLiga table.
All in all, Barcelona’s 3-1 win against Sevilla was a great comeback game. Sevilla took the lead but Raphinha’s three goals turned the game around, allowing Barcelona to maintain their extraordinary winning record in the 2026-27 La Liga campaign.
